Design engineer who builds physical products from concept to market. I work across the full development lifecycle — CAD modeling, DFM, prototyping, technical documentation, and manufacturing coordination — with a focus on products that solve real problems for real users.

01
RYDR Industries
Gen 1 of RYDR's ARCA vehicle mount had a hardware conflict that caused abrasions during use. Consulted on and led a full redesign — consolidating the assembly into a single machined unit by eliminating conflicting hardware. The Gen 2 design demonstrates subtractive manufacturing and interference fit principles throughout.
Produced multiple 3D-printed iterations to validate the design before committing to CNC production, giving the client confidence through each stage. Also helped identify both domestic and international manufacturers, opening supply chain doors beyond this product. RYDR has since progressed to a Gen Pro — a follow-on refinement driven by manufacturer feedback from the quoting process.

Simply Savage Solutions
Simply Savage Solutions had a working rough prototype for their second product — a rifle sling with a detachable hitch for hands-free backpack carry — but needed a complete technical pack to hand off to manufacturing. The key challenge was communicating the webbing routing and identifying where sewing lock lines should be placed.
Redesigned the prototype to use friction-based webbing locking, reducing the number of sew points required during manufacturing and simplifying the production process. Created a full technical pack including measured webbing path diagrams, notions specifications, and hardware callouts — documentation that is still in active use today.

Muley Maniacs
When Sig Sauer released the Zulu6 stabilizing binoculars, the hunting community praised the eye relief — but there was no way to mount them to a tripod. This project solved that gap. By designing a replacement cap for the battery housing, the binoculars can attach to a standard tripod without permanent modification.
Commissioned by Muley Maniacs, the design prioritized a non-permanent riser attachment — the riser and adapter are independent components that work together but can be separated. Working from Muley Maniacs' concepts, produced full SolidWorks models, exploded assembly views, and a complete 6-sheet drawing package including part details for the aluminum riser, adapter, neoprene washer, O-ring, and tension pin.

Personal Concept Project
Identified a gap in the hunting pack market — existing solutions for carrying quartered game were brand-specific and not transferable to standard backpacking systems. This concept adapts any backpack to carry load higher on the back and distributed laterally, improving ergonomics and reducing fatigue on long pack-outs.
Designed for sheet metal fabrication processes including laser cutting and bending. Mass properties were validated in SolidWorks — the single-piece hook comes in at 4.00 lbs in the steel core configuration. The final production design was scoped as a steel structural core with a forged carbon fiber overlay, balancing the rigidity needed to carry heavy loads against the weight demands of backcountry use. Tooling concepts for the forged carbon molding process were also considered as part of the development path.
Background
I'm a design engineer based in Logan, Utah, with a B.S. in Technology Systems from Utah State University, emphasizing Product Development with an Additive Manufacturing certificate. My work lives at the intersection of precision engineering and real-world usability — I care about whether something actually works in the field, not just on paper.
I co-founded Primal Pursuit LLP, where I led two archery target products from concept to market in seven months — evaluating concepts, testing material combinations, designing injection molds in SolidWorks, and coordinating directly with manufacturers across the U.S. That experience taught me how to move fast without losing rigor.
Beyond the technical work, I'm drawn to products that get used hard in demanding environments. Whether it's a rifle mount, a hunting sling, or a binocular adapter, I want the design to hold up when it counts.
